Chocolate Fountain

This weeks event for Chocsoc was the always
fantastic chocolate fountain! The meeting was held
in the Balcony Room with a lovely flow of milk
chocolate and plenty of treats to dip.
Strawberries and marshmallows were quite popular,
but the grapes, bananas, and biscuits were also
good! Cheers to everyone who was able to make it
tonight and enjoy the fun.

Bowling Evening

This week's event was held over at Fountain Park's Tenpin Bowling Alley. With a steady supply of chocolate and fun, the ChocSoc members bowled their way through two impressive games, including a huge score of 169 in one of them! Much fun was had by all and it was a relaxing way to socialise and get rid of the stresses of university.

ChocSoc's Harry Potter Pub Quiz

This week's event was the ever popular and spectacular Harry Potter Pub Quiz. 8 rounds of Harry Potter themed general (and not so general) knowledge proved to be a big hit as everyone who came to the meeting had a lot of fun. With 150 people turning up for the event, it was one of ChocSoc's biggest meetings over the last few years. Congratulations go to Team Jacob (wrong series, but never mind) for winning our grand prize (a luxury box of Thornton's Chocolates), and commiserations go to The Half Blood Princesses, who got our traditional wooden spoon prize - a bar of Tesco Value chocolate. Well done to everyone for making this event one of our best this year.

Articulate Game Evening

This week's meeting was a mix of the fun board game Articulate (where you describe things without saying what they were) with the party game charades (describing an object without using words). Members were split up into two teams (called Team Awesome and Team Awesome-er) and each had to guess what their team mates were describing either by words or actions. After a tense few rounds, it came right down to a final tie breaker decision to determine who won. In the end, Team Awesome-er won the tie breaker and the game, and got to indulge in a chocolate based prize.

Chocolate Biscuits Crafts

ChocSoc has returned after the Christmas break! And our first meeting of this decade was a Biscuit Craft session. Chocolate spread, gummi animals, malteasers and chocolate raisins were all combined into a variety of very tasty, very chocolate-y treats. Much fun was had by all and we hoped that 2010 will be another successful year of ChocSoc.

ChocSoc Chocolate Poker

The last meeting before the Christmas break was an informal gathering, with members arriving to play a small round of poker with chocolate themed "chips". From chocolate raisins to jaffa cakes, the event was relaxed and a lot of fun - even if the chips "mysteriously" disappeared as time went on.
ChocSoc will start meetings again in the new year when the next academic semester starts in January.

ChocSoc Stress Relief

This week's meeting was simply an informal meetup to just relax and try to de-stress ourselves during the exam period. Much chocolate (and a few biscuits) were had by all and everyone enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere the meeting had.
